The Arts Industry
If you are interested in joining our agency it is vital you understand how the Arts industry works.
Work is rarely consistent even for the professionals.
TTA can never guarantee work for you - ultimately it is up to the client or casting director to select who is best suited for the job.
The Agent and Talent relationship is a two way street.
Responsiveness to contact is essential - often jobs work on a tight schedule so we need to hear back from you asap. You are allowed to be unavailable! Just let us know.
It is very important to keep us up to date with any changes that may arise (i.e. moving interstate, holidays).
TIP: Update photos regularly, especially if your appearance changes.
Guardian Approval
If you are under 18 years of age you must have your guardian’s approval and presence throughout this process.
Administration Fee
If, after your interview, you are invited to be represented, there is a one-off fee to cover initial administration and profile set up costs.
$110.00 inc GST if you join within 14 days of your meeting.
$165.00 inc GST if you join any-time after the above time-frame.
(If you are already registered with the local Casting service TAS CASTING $44.00 will be
deducted from your joining fee at the time of registration.)
Commission Rates
Like all other agencies, TTA takes a percentage on the work they represent you for.
TTA commission rates are at industry standard, vary slightly for different jobs, and are stipulated in your contract and meeting with us.
YOUR JOINING STEPS
Step One ~ Introduce yourself!
Complete the link at the bottom of this page. Please include all requested information and any additional information that we should know about you. You will receive an Information Pack from admin@tastalent.com within 30 days.
Step Two ~ Your Information Pack.
This will include our Introduction Video and accompanying Information Document. This information will assist you understanding how our agency works and give you an indication of the services we offer.
Step Three ~ We need to meet you!
When working together at TTA it is important to form a personal relationship so it is vital for us to meet you. We will schedule a private Zoom meeting and send through the TTA Contract for you to review. You may raise any questions during your meeting.
A MUST before we meet you...read the Frequently Asked Questions link above. This will ensure that your allotted time with us is spent on you as an individual rather than general questions you can have answered conveniently on our website.
Step Four ~ Lets Make it official.
If you do then wish to join TTA it’s time to sign your TTA contract, pay the one time administration fee, and complete your database information link.
